A Prayer

Gracious God and heavenly Father,

All creation owes its existence to you and your powerful word. Without your voice, we’d have no life. But with it, we have life in abundance.

Lord, our rejection of you renders us powerless. We’re utterly weakened by sin to the point of death. But in Christ, you take pity on us and meet us with your matchless mercy.

Thank you, eternal Lord, for your life-giving spirit. Thank you for binding us to your resurrected son. Thank you for the precious gift of faith and the priceless gift of life in his name. We know sin and death have been defeated by him.

Father: enable us to live a life of gratitude as we walk in the light of Jesus’ resurrection. Help us to work out our salvation as we shine like stars in this dark world.
