Psalm 34: The Lack of No Good Thing
“The lions may grow weak and hungry,
Psalm 34:10
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
A Prayer
Almighty God and heavenly Father:
You sit over all creation, commanding all things from your throne room of grace. Your majesty is beyond compare, dwarfing the heavens that so dwarf us.
Father in this world, many powers surround us and seek to control us. Yet even the strongest in all creation grow weary and fade in their constant lust for more.
You, Father, are powerful and mighty. But you are also merciful and kind. You give from the riches of your grace. In Christ we have every spiritual blessing, adopted into your heavenly family, and supplied by your eternal dayspring of life.
In you, we lack no good thing. Embed this truth deep within our hearts and minds. Enable us to live lives of joyful gratitude. Let not the predators of this world rob us of our heavenly delight.
Amen.
