God’s love stretches further than our eyes can see, yet it is always within our reach. It is beyond us and near to us, always.  

Psalm 103 tells us that the scope of the Lord’s love extends from eternity past to eternity future. Time will never discolour its radiance. It will never run out.

But as far-reaching as this love is, it is always close to those who fear him. To reject God is to deny his love and be distant from it. But to revere God is to throw ourselves into his loving care, and while ever we position ourselves before him like this, he will never withhold his love from us. It will always be with those who fear him.

His love will be there as we drift off to sleep, and it will be there to greet us in the morning. It will be there as we set off and return home. It will be there in the sun and the storm.  His love will be with us because he will be with us to the very end of the age. His compassion will descend. His forgiveness will reign. He will lift us from the pit.  He will renew our lives. Praise God that all his benefits flow to us because of his timeless love for us in Jesus.
