Summary

These four points of Christian teaching help us to make sense of the wider world around us. They locate our lives in a much bigger context than just the here and now and they liberate us from the burden of trying to create a life for ourself through our own efforts.

As we focus on the person and work of Jesus Christ – the eternal wisdom of God – we begin to see God’s true intent for humankind. If we trust him, his perfection becomes ours and our lives are increasingly shaped by the eternal hope he provides. Our approach to life is one primarily governed by humility, faith and obedience to him. As our lives are reformed, so are our choices. And as we live for him more and more every day, we will be blessed. But more than this, those around us will benefit as we serve them in love, just as he has served us.
